It is deliberately inspired by the shape of a book and it can be used as a display for ornaments.
Its base is made of solid briarwood and the curved part of rosewood. The back features a rich edging with “marqueterie” working and a central part of briarwood. The top, with corners inlaid in rosewood, can be raised to reveal a container with mirror bottom and sides covered with mosaic mirror.
It has a secret compartment.
