KAI is a new stool created by Shin Azumi, designer of the highly popular LEM Piston barstool.
Employing the same economy of line found in the LEM, the KAI's sculpted oak ply seat has a removable black leather pad and swivels 360 degrees. The compressed gas cylinder allows for unlimited height adjustments from counter to bar height with the touch of a lever. The round base plate, stem and lever are identical to the LEM stool; textured stainless steel with a matte chrome column and foot rest.
Formed from a single piece of veneered ply, the contours of the seat and back hug the body and deliver secure lumbar support. Easy to maintain and durable, the wood, leather and metal may be wiped clean with a soapy cloth.
The high quality materials and components used in the KAI are designed for heavy use and will perform flawlessly for years. Available in blanched oak with white leather seat , open pore black with black leather seat and oak stained dark walnut with brown leather seat . Contract quality, made in Italy by LAPALMA.
